A Rhino policy can be canceled at any point after purchase if the renter and partner agree the coverage is not needed. If a renter created a policy that will no longer be needed, the coverage can be canceled and any applicable refunds will be issued.
The renter must first request a policy cancellation from their renter dashboard before you are able to confirm. You will receive an email, and a notification to your Rhino Portal if a renter requests to cancel their policy.
Reasons for cancellation:
A Rhino policy can be canceled if the coverage was not needed. The following are acceptable reasons to cancel a policy:
- The renter did not move in or sign a lease.
- The renter’s roommate/spouse enrolled as well.
- The renter’s policy was renewed for another lease term.
- The renter completed two policies.
- The renter moved out before their lease end
Once a policy is canceled, claims can only be filed in cases where the renter lived in the unit and moved out before lease end.
